A New Age

Hans Stoll's founding of the Financial Markets Research Center at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management came at a crucial time in history with the stock market crash of 1987. The inaugural conference focused on just that and, more specifically, what conference panelists and attendees learned following such a severe, unprecedented loss. Spring 1988 set the tone for three decades of conferences and beyond.
